Scyld, Athlon, and Asus A7V?

Glad you got your system up.

Needing step 4 is odd.  It definitely wasn't necessary for us (I had 2
machines up, brought up the third, experimenting with the different BIOS
option, and got better performance).  hdparm works fine for me.

Anyway, glad you got your system up.
