[vortex] network problems with 3Com 3C905C-TX

Hi,

  having installed SUSE 8.1 on my PC I am having problems connecting
to the ethernet with the 3Com 3C905C-TX. The card is automatically
recognised and the driver module 3c59x is loaded (which version ?).

Watching the (attempted) network traffic I see a large number of
FIFO overruns on the receiver. Any idead how to fix this ?
