With the drivers supplied by 3Com ? How nice ! So maybe it is Tyan who's 
garbling the EPROM. Or do they (whoever they are) expect _both_ interfaces 
to be configured based on only one EPROM (IIRC this also happens in the 
"tulip world") ?

In Kirk's case, they are on-board so the board maker should make sure that 
all components work together...

If possible, please show us the output of "vortex-diag -ee" for both 
interfaces.
