[vortex] 3C575-TX and RedHat 7.1

Probably the 2.4 kernel's Cardbus code failed to power
up the socket.

Could you please send the dmesg logfile output,
up to the point where this message occurs?

Do other pcmcia/cardbus devices work OK in that machine?
