Yep.  The 3c905CX is subtly different from its predecessors.

A fix is present in the 2.4.1-pre1 kernel, however I
would not recommend (even a tiny bit) that you upgrade
beyond 2.4.1.pre3 :(

There's a driver at http://www.uow.edu.au/~andrewm/linux/ which
has the change.  I suggest you use that driver within 2.4.0.
