[vortex] Problem with 3c905c under 2.2.16

Hi,

I have just upgraded my kernel from 2.2.14-5.0 to 2.2.16-3 and neither
my 3Com supplied 3c90x or 3c59x driver work any more.

The module is loaded dynamically, looks good but the RX/TX counters
never move.

When I start the network up I see ...

Sep  1 16:42:46 ntkiller ifup: SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such device
Sep  1 16:42:46 ntkiller ifup: SIOCADDRT: Network is down
Sep  1 16:42:47 ntkiller network: Bringing up interface eth0 succeeded

Any ideas?
