I have an old 3c590 card which I have had problems with a long time. It
works just great with the 0.43E driver, but all newer drivers I have
tested (including the one that comes with stock 2.2.10) has this problem
that it starts saying:

After this the network stops working totally. Earlier, removal of the
module and then installing it again made it work. I didnt try this time.

I "solved" the problem by replacing the NIC with a 3c509TP instead, I have
never had any problems with those cards. I just wanted to say this to the
list if I am not the only one with these problems.
