Ooops, sorry, I forgot to say this... I DO have tryed without any 
option; actually that was what I have done at first!

It was only because I had so many troubles at first that then I have 
tryed almost all of the possible combinations of parameters and card 
settings lately, but with no luck. :-(

May be I have a broken card?   

mmmh... it shouldn't be broken, it worked fine with windoze... :-?
