3c59x.c:v0.99L and vortex

Ok.  I will surely let you know about my progress.
For the moment, I am using 3c59x:v0.31(found in 2.0.30) with linux-2.0.36
on the real servers.  This combination is rock solid for me even on
the heavy network load for the last one year.

However, I really want to upgrade the kernels to 2.2.x,
and need newer 3c59x drivers.
