Hi

I have some problem getting th etehrnet controller of my new notebook to work.
The notebook is Topline Amicus 3700 (white box with Topline decal),
Athlon 1Ghz, VIA chipset, Phoenix BIOS and onboard ADMtek 983 AL ethernet.
I'm installing Debian Woody distribtion with 2.4.18 kernel (from floppies,
and like to continue my installation over the network ;) ).

When loading tulip.o dmesg says:

Linux Tulip driver version 0.9.15-pre9 (Nov 6, 2001)
PCI: Enabling device 00:09.0 (0000 -> 0003)
PCI: No IRQ known for interrupt pin A of device 00:09.0. Please try using pci=bi
osirq.
PCI: Setting latency timer of device 00:09.0 to 64
eth0: ADMtek Comet rev 17 at 0x1c00, 00:90:96:1F:3D:B3, IRQ 0.

Booting with pci=biosirq has no result:

Linux Tulip driver version 0.9.15-pre9 (Nov 6, 2001)
PCI: No IRQ known for interrupt pin A of device 00:09.0.
eth0: ADMtek Comet rev 17 at 0x1c00, 00:90:96:1F:3D:B3, IRQ 0.

The listing of /proc/pci:

      Prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xf0000000 [0xf7ffffff].

I've remember ther are some more IRQ issues with this chips and/or driver
which are related to incorrect BIOS configuration.
In my BIOS (Phoenix 1.0C- 6.2-3236) setup menu is no option for pnp-OS
support to switch off.

Has anybody any clue how to continue?

Regards,
