[tulip] Problems on a linux-laptop with AMDtek Comet

Hello,

I recently bought a Notebook from "Gericom" (supersonic 2)
and havn't been able to configure the network card properly
with SuSE 7.3.

This is the same problem, someone reported in the thread
below, but it's not clear to me, whether the problem really
is in the card bus controller or not.

http://www.scyld.com/pipermail/tulip/2001-October/003713.html

The problem seems to be, that the network adapter doesn't
get an irq. This cannot be solved by setting the
kernelparameter "pci=biosirq" as suggested in the log.
Also, there is no way of configuring anything related to IRQ
in ths BIOS.

I'll just add the relevant output from /var/log/messages,
lspci and tulip-diag.c once more:

Any help is appreciated

Greetings

Neven Luetic

This chip has not been assigned a valid IRQ, and will not
function.
This must be fixed in the PCI BIOS setup. The device

Comet duplex is reported in the MII status registers.
  Transmit stopped, Receive stopped, half-duplex.
