Hello,

I am a newbie so please bear with me. =20

I have attempted to install a Linksys etherfast 10/100 model LNE100TX =
ethernet card on a Redhat version 7.0(Guiness)/2.2.16-22 kernel =
installation without success.

I go through kernelcfg to add my card, choosing eth0, I select the tulip =
driver, I am then prompted for a "base io address", and "other =
arguments". This is my problem, how do I find the appropriate values =
for these. If I leave this blank as my book "Linux: The Complete =
Reference" suggests for 3com cards, it fails to initialize the device =
when I restart stating something like "tulip: can't load module invalid =
arguments and IRQ".

Please respond to my email address,if you don't mind, for I feel lucky =
to have found this address and doubt I would find the responses.

Thanks in advance,
George Saylor
