will redhat ever have a version of tulip that works with new cards?

I was just wondering if a day will come when I can get the latest version 
of RedHat or any major linux distribution (debian would be cool) and have 
it work with my Linksys 100TX cards???  Its not fun to have to recompile 
the kernel just to get the network card to work. or ok recompile the module 
if you want to do it that way
