Robert,

The 21143-PD chip changed some register conventions that affect
negotiate or link -- I can't remember exactly off the top of my head.
You need the manual, .pdf, for the changes; or get someone to change the
driver. And yes I believe these changes affect negotiation is the way I
remember it.

I'm working on a gigabit Ethernet driver now so I haven't touched the
DEC, now Intel stuff in awhile. Someone else chime in please. :)
