[realtek] Only 10Mbit ?

Hello

i installed one 8189 nic in a linux-computer (Linux 2.4.4)and one in a 
computer, running win98se. I only get about 10mbit speed (using samba 
and/or ftp). I used iptraf to see the speed. The nic in the win computer is 
detecting the networkspeed automatically. The nic in the linux-computer is 
set to 100baseTx-FD (this is the output of mii-tool). They are connected 
via a crossover cable.

How can I get more speed ?
