I set up my adapter DFE*530tx in Linux config. The driver is installed
and I ran rtl8139-diag to check. Everything checks out fine. When I
attempt to activate the changes in linuxconf it appears as if noting
activates. I looked in the netconf.log file and found this error

    Executing: /etc/rc.d/rc5.d/S10network reload
            >Bringing up device eth0 ./ifup: Can't repopen pipe to
command substitution (fd 4): No child processes
            >Delaying eth0 initialization

I tried this with eth0 and eth1. I am running redhat 6.2 a kernel
version 2.2.14.

Any help is as always appreciated.
