Erich,
I am using the epic100 driver and am running the 2.0.35 kernel and have no
problems at all (I'm running at 100 MBit). I just checked and the version
of the epic100 driver I'm running is:
epic100.c:v0.99B 4/7/98
as taken from the kernel boot messages. If you'd like, I can email you
the v0.99B version of the driver for you to try.
Best regards,
Nick
P.S. I had problems with this driver and a 2.0.37 kernel I was running
earlier on. Since I got it to work after dropping back to the
2.0.35 kernel, I didn't bother pursuing the matter further.
Maybe I'll have to wrestle with this rascal again when I upgrade
to the 2.2.x series of kernels. ;-) Right now it works like charm:
bash-2.01$ /sbin/ifconfig eth0
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:E0:29:1C:2B:AF
inet addr:192.168.10.1 Bcast:192.168.10.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:15693221 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:29800518 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
Collisions:0
Interrupt:11 Base address:0xd400
Thanks Donald! Works great!
