[eepro100] eepro100 not loading in RedHat Linux 7.2

Hi,

I've ran into a weird problem using RH linux 7.2, kernel 2.4.9-13:

In the pc there is an eepro100 based nic onboard (eth0) and a second pci nic
(3COM 3c905, eth1) installed. When rebooting the (self-adjusted) kernel the
only module loaded is 3c59x.o for eth0 and eth0 is up (ifconfig) but not
working correctly. When unloading 3c59x.o and doing an insmod eepro100.o
eth0 is working fine. My /etc/modules.conf looks like this:

alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc
alias eth0 eepro100
options eepro100 options=48 # 100Mb FD
alias eth1 3c59x

Any hint is apreciated.
