Hi to anyone reading this.
Just to report the infamous "delay" or "suspend" or whatever problem =
also happens to me.

I'm using Intel 82557 on:

- ACER Notebook 350
- Dell Poweredge 4300, 2 Processors.
- Dell Poweredge 2400.

All use RedHat 6.2, absolutely "unflavoured" after installation ( kernel =
from kernel.org, etc...)
I've tried stock RH 6.2 kernel, 2.2.12, 2.2.18, 2.4.0, 2.4.1, 2.4.? =
generic kernels.
I've also tried every possible combination of kernel sources and =
Becker's eepro drivers.
I've also tried RH 6.1 with every combination.

No results: Yes, both cards work, but terribly slow.

More data:

- With the servers, I also face a problem someone reported on April =
list:

When it comes to low activity, it takes veery long to respond, and on =
the other side, if it is heavy loaded, eth0 responds on milliseconds =
(=BF=BF??)

The three of them take a week to respond to ssh or ftp or whatever, but =
I get several differences:
- Notebook ALWAYS takes a minute or two on answering.
- Dell servers response depend upon their previous state (low/high =
activity). They work ok if the irons are loaded.

More data:=20

On Windows 2000 (oops, sorry), the notebook also suffers medium (<1 =
min.) network delays; also takes years to boot ( spares 2 minutes on =
some network timeout with no disk operation before login screen ).

On servers, W2k not tested, of course.

Hope this info is useful in any way.
Non-programmers like me have to wait for all of you and pray ;-)
