Yes, whenever there is a Slashdot post about HPC (or anything
else for that matter) slashperts* generally provide inane
comments that often get pushed to the top. Much of it is
very repetitive - new story, same wrong notions about HPC.
In that past I have tried to supply some help, but
I find it pretty much worthless at this point. In fairness there
are sometimes insightful comments, but these are becoming harder to find.
These days, I read http://alterslash.org/ to get a quick summary.

* commenter on Slashdot who have no idea what they are talking about,
do not read much (including the linked articles), and when
challenged will often cut&paste Wikipedia or further verify
Goodwin's law.
