I have optimized the ASCI benchmark codes.

The most important codes simulate shock propagation.

Not so.

Anyway, I wonder whether Roadrunner was used primarily for
nuclear simulations - LANL and LLNL have their own, much
larger, computational resources, both inside and outside
the "vault."
