NTP?

Having followed the NIS discussion, I have a similar question about setting
the date on the compute nodes. Are most people:

using NTP on every compute nodes?

or

setting the time on a master node and doing something (like rdate) to sync
the compute nodes?

or

something entirely different?

And what's the reasoning behind the choice...
