RTL8139 on LinuxPPC

I have been trying to get an ethernet card with the RTL8139 chip to work
on a PowerPC (PM7500) running a Linux 2.2.15pre7 kernel. The interface
(eth1) appears to come up properly, but I can't ping in or out with the
card. I've tried three different drivers up to 1.80a with no success. I
get some kind of oversized frame error.

Has anyone gotten this ethernet card to work with a PCI Power Mac? If
so, what kernel and driver worked.
