[eepro100] "card reports no resources" fixes?

My question is, for everyone who has encountered this problem,
how did you resolve it? Ideally, if you could explain your
configuration as well (hardware, kernel version w/ patches, etc.)
that would be helpful.

I'm noticing that every "solution" seems to be a point-fix
instead of their being one known way to deal with this.
Different things work for different people on different
hardware and kernel revs on different days of the week,
subject to variance in the color shirt they were wearing.
This is no way to build a driver.

I will summarize all reports back, so that maybe there is a better
collection of information on what works and what doesn't,
and maybe we can start figuring out why as well. Responses can
be directly to me (preferred) or to the list. I just would like
to know how any and everyone who has had this problem dealt
with it.

The latest thing I tried is to modify the Becker 1.09j-t/Savochkin
1.20.2.3 driver with the following changes:

static int txfifo = 15; (was originally 8)
static int rxfifo = 15; (ditto)
#define TX_RING_SIZE	64 (was originally 32)
#define RX_RING_SIZE	64 (ditto)

Anyone else got any bright ideas they'd like to share?

TIA!
