In the meantime I installed the kernel sources on redhat 7.3 (kernel
2.4.18.3), downloaded pci-scan.c ... and tried to compile the new
downloaded driver from scyld again with no success.
I could find out, that redhat 7.3 originally uses 3c59x.o Version LK
1.1.16 with which I could not get a network connection.
Suse 7.2 with 3c59x.o version LK 1.1.13 (27.1.2001) worked well with my
network chip.
