[vortex] 3COM Mini PCI Adapter 3C556 winmodem driver

Hello *,
I`m wondering that there is no modem driver for the
adapter above. I found some postings, that there are
over 700 users, which are waiting for this driver.

The missing driver is the only reason why I have to
boot my notebook with Mr. Gates software ..(btw: I`m
no friend of his software ...). Is there a beta program
of the driver ?
