[vortex] Zero copy support.

I use the 3c905B in a number of Linux 2.4.17 machines. When early 
versions of the kernel booted, part of the vortex driver initialisation 
log entry would show "scatter/gather enabled, using hw checksums".

At some point, as new kernel versions were released, these messages have 
gone.

Are the above features now silently enabled, or do I need to patch or 
enable something before compiling the kernel?
