No need for it now. I know what the EEPROM value should be after being 
written by 3c90xcfg.

I don't think that the driver does something wrong. I asked you to provide 
this data because I seem to remember at least one other case in the past 
where the MII interface would not be available if the EEPROM setting was 
different from NWAY/Autonegotiate; something like this hardware part is 
somehow disabled if the reset sequence doesn't find the right EEPROM 
setting. I don't claim to understand how the Windows driver deals with 
this situation...

It's not uninitialized EEPROM, but wrongly initialized EEPROM.
