[vortex] 3c905 Problem - Please Help

It's weird, i experience the same error in a PC that
bridges two networks... with two 3C905C-TX.
First one is linked to a 100TX-100FX controller, the second
one to a 3COM SuperStack 1100 (on a 100Mb/s connector).
Cables are cat5.

Yeah, that's what i thought at first... How can I debug
the problem, i.e. where can it be ? there are 600 PCs running
W98, W2K, NT4, WXP, Linux, MacOS X, and FreeBSD on eth1's side,
and I haven't got access to eth0's side (ISP).
