[vortex] RE: 3c59x driver + Cable/DSL router - can't get'em to talk!

Punting away on this one ...  Changed NIC ( a Realtek ) and everything is
ok.

The actual model # of the card ( stamped on the side ) was 3C905CX-TXM.
There were some other numbers also.  Anyway, is this card appears to be
The 'newer' one you mentioned below.  Are you sure your driver supports
these
Cards?

This is a modified driver, not the one from the update RPM.

You very likely have a new CX card -- this is a transceiver hardware
buglet.  The new driver versions work around the problem.
