Edit the /etc/pcmcia/config.opts file and uncomment, or insert the
following line:
include port 0x1000-0x17ff
This will allow the system to allocate ports in that range. The
3CXFEM656C card will use I/O ports in the range 0x1000-0x11ff. By
default, those ports are excluded so you'll need to edit the
/etc/pcmcia/config.opts file to allow them. This should solve your
problem!
