[vortex] Problem with vortex card

Hi,

I am facing a problem ,which I saw in vortex mailing list , but no solution. 
I have a comp with 3com vortex card (3c59x) . The machine was working fine 
till alomst 2 hrs ago .... when all of sudden when I was ftp'ing onto the 
machine .. i noticed  that the transfer rate has fallen by 10 times. I 
generally get a speed of around 800kbps within network. Now when i "get" from 
this machine .. the transfer rate is fine .. when I "put" something on this 
machine I get a transfer rate of  maximum 80-90 kbps .

When I do Ifconfig it shows errors in RX packects and no errors in TX 
packects.
The following is the output of ifconfig immendiately after booting and ftping 
in and out a file of size qround 3.1 Mb

Thing is .. while uploading this file went at a superb speed of 900kbps ... 
downloading the same happened at around 35 kbps

Can someone tell me whats wrong ?
I have no idea what is happening
