[vortex] 3c556b patch(es)

I dropped the driver in and compiled the 2.4.0-test8 kernel. That went
fine. I rebooted with it, and it did not work. What would be the best
information
to share? /proc/pci ?
There were no strange error message, it seems to not have been recognized.
