I got the that error at one point, but it was with a version of the patch
that didn't work. Once I got it working that entirely dissappeared

That would be consistent...

I assume the development version of in the scyld archive. Right now my
test machine is off somewhere, but when gets home I will take a look at
it. 

Incidentally based on the PCI data that was sent to me, are using an IBM
T20, or is someone else shipping a system with CS audio chip and an S3
graphics card.
