[vortex] Strange errors from 3c509B driver

  Hi, guys. I'm getting some very strange error messages from the
3c59x driver on one of my cards. This is on a firewall machine, and
has 3 3C509B cards. One of the links was upgraded to 100 Mb/s, and
after that I started getting these messages. If someone could tell me
what they mean, I can use that to club the heads of the campus IT
people who provide this link. The cabling is CAT6 and the other end is
supposed to be a 100 Mb/s FD switch port.

Kernel logs appended. The upgraded link is on eth1.
