Is the boot prom that comes with the 3c905-TX-M able to boot a linux kernel directly? Or does it have to first have to load an intermediate boot loader (such as BpBatch)? Can any bootp-compliant rom load a linux kernel? Can the PXE proms load a linux kernel? Which of the roms/protocols can be used to load a ramdisk with the kernel (also over the net, not on floppy)? -- Oscar Stiffelman
