Autoloading of modules with vortex .99E

Hi,

I have just now (well before it was 2.0.35 and then 2.2.1)
up(down)graded to Kernel 2.0.36 and autoloading of my 3C905TX doesn't
quite work anymore. The card "bombards" the TX line until I "down" it
with ifconfig and wait a minute for "autoclean" to unload the module.

I could compile it into the kernel but wanted to keep it as a module.
How do I get around the problem?
