This yields a working full duplex connection for me with 3c905B cards:

  /sbin/insmod 3c59x options=25 full_duplex=1 debug=1


If you see the source you'll find that the options value 25 does not
make sense.
But it works!
(The debug flag is probably not necessary, I have not tried to remove
it.)
