I am not so knowledgeable in the CardBus/MiniPCI area, so I was hoping
somebody else might answer...

AFAIK, this driver has support for your card.

The first invocation of vortex-diag reported succesfully the node address
and station address, while the second one reported 0. That's weird...

But the autonegotiation reports are also weird:

... Able to perform Auto-negotiation, negotiation complete.
... Link partner capability is 0000:.
      Negotiation did not complete.
... Auto-negotiation complete, 10Mbps half duplex.

What is at the other end of the cable (hub, switch, another network card)?

Sincerely,

Bogdan Costescu
