Hardwire options

Hi

I just wonder how can modify the 3c59x.c file with option=4 and
full_duplex=1 hardwire when I compile a Linux kernel into a boot disk. I
also had
the problem as other peoples which the 100M drop to 10M in all the sudden.
I'm using 3c905C nic with D-Link 8 ports switch and v.99L driver. This is a
bad combination?
