eth0: Transmit error, Tx status register xx

Hi,

I've recently upgraded several linux boxes featuring 3com 3c905b cards to
linux 2.2.13 kernel.

On one boxes syslog debug file is filled with this message very offently :

		eth0: Transmit error, Tx status register 82

I've read that it could come from a misconfiguration. but the switch port on
which the box is connected to is configured for 100 FullDuplex transmission.
It's true taht the switch anyliser reports 83 % of bandwith utilization

But I've noticed exactly the same behaviour on another box where the traffic
is not high at all.


I also had this message on another box.

eth0: Transmit error, Tx status register 90

The point is that theses boxes do not respond any more after a while... (you
can't ping them anymore) and then need a reboot.
