3cSOHO card at 100?

I am having problems with the 3cSOHO card under SuSE Linux 6.2.  The 
problem is that whenever Linux boots and sets up the network card, it sets 
it to 10mbps.  The card starts up at 100mbps on it's own, and only when the 
Linux driver talks to the card does it decide it needs to drop down to 
10.  I have put "options 3c59x options=20" and a few other options choices 
stating to use 100mbps into the conf.modules with no luck.  No abnormal 
messages show up in the system log, but the card just refuses 100mbps 
operation while in Linux.  Anyone have any suggestions?
