suggestion for driver

hi,

it turns out there was more to my problem. my pci bus is shoddy, and the bottom
two slots do not support bus-mastering transfers. i figured this out by booting
with a dos bootdisk and running the diagnostics program that came with the card.
if it's not too hard to implement, it'd be nice if the driver did a quick check
at boot time for such a condition and spit out some sort of error. it would have
saved me (and i would guess some of the others with 3c905(b) problems) a lot of
grief. changing the card to a different slot fixed everything! thanks!
