Hi,

you definitely want to upgrade your driver, this problem is known. Newer
versions of this driver have banned these problems from my 3c900. I'm
using v0.99H, get that one or a later one from
http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/vortex.html

I'm positive it will help you too.

Plug-and-Play is really nice, unfortunately it only works 50% of the time.
To be specific the "Plug" almost always works.            --unknown source
