I am having a problem with my 3c905 Boomerang card. The network
runs fine (great) under Linux 2.0.34 for days. However, I recently
upgraded to Linux 2.2.1 and now I have a problem. After a certain period
of time (10-20 hours) nothing gets sent or received through my network. It
may not be a driver problem, it may be a kernel problem, but it's
definately related to 2.2.1. If I do an "/sbin/ifconfig eth0 down", then
"/sbin/ifconfig eth0 up", then, "route add default gw <my_gateway_here>"
it works again! Here are my system specifics:
RedHat 5.1 with some 5.2 packages, including the new Kernel 2.2 packages.
With kernel 2.0.34 it works fine, 2.2.1 does not work.
Machine: Gateway E-3000, Pentium II 200MHZ with 3C905 Boomerang.
Thank you for any help you can offer.
