Dropped RX packets with 3c595 + 3c59x.c v.43E

Hi,
I have a standard Slackware 3.4 with the 3c595 card. It works fine except
for occasional blackouts due to dropped packets with the driver. I've
tried 3c59x.c v.99D but that version gave transmit timeouts and I read on
this archive somewhere that v.43E was better for the 3c595 card. I've
include ifconfig here, and I have the driver compiled into the kernel. I
only have ssh and wu-ftpd as network deamons. Anyone experiencing similar
problems? Kernel version is 2.0.33.
Thanks.
Dang.
