[OT]3C905B + BIOS update disables NIC

I have been running .99G for some time now without problems on a Tyan
S1470 w/ Award BIOS 3.00 without problems.  Due to the Y2K issues in the
BIOS I updated to 4.00.  On a Win95 machine with the exact same
Motherboard and NIC everything works fine.  On my machine the linux driver
claims that the IRQ is set to 255 and that it probably won't work.  It
doesn't.  I have noticed that the boot screen shows the IRQ set to 9 when
running the 3.00 BIOS and to NA when running the 4.00 BIOS.  Playing with
the PNP settings in the BIOS doesn't help.

Anyone have any ideas as to how to make this work?  TIA
