3c905B card causes system to reboot

Good day,

I just installed a 3c905B-TX card in my Linux system, and when I go to do a
DHCP renewal on bootup, it causes the machine to reboot. It does the same
thing in Windows, altho updating the BIOS and updating the driver from 3Com
allows it to work (grudgingly.)

I have installed the latest 3c59x.c driver from Donald's web site but it
still causes the reboot. The card will work for a little while if I set up
my system with a static IP, but after about 2000 recv packets it crashes.
PnP on or off in the BIOS doesn't seem to make a difference. There are no
IRQ, IO or memory conflicts.

System specs:

Acer AX6B motherboard (Intel 440BX chipset)
Award BIOS, 4.51PGM August 1998
ATI Xpert@play AGP video
USR Sportster 14400 internal ISA
AWE64 ISA

I called 3Com and they seem fairly stumped by this as well.
