This is to support the older kernels, where registering the memory
region is better than not registering at all.

I've emailed Zoom the usual "fix it in seven days" letter.  That should
get us the source code to see if they set any of the configuration
registers differently than I do.

I have the documentation, but it arrived in a plain brown
wrapper.  Conexant wouldn't give out anything but glossy brochures.
