[tulip] PPP connection with ADSL pb after kernel upg

I've upgraded my kernel using apt-get on Woody but after rebooting with the
new one I can't connect to the net! I didn't change the config in
/etc/ppp/options.

The old kernel was 2.2.20, the new is 2.4.18-k7.

In fact my problem is that when I boot under 2.4.18 i''ve got this msg :
"LCP timeout sending Config-Request"
Could this may be a driver pb ?
my two eth are : realtek 8139 for LAN (8139too driver)& SMC Card with
DEC21041 chip for WAN (tulip driver)

When I launch the connect script with debug nothing appear in the log... Any
ideas?
